History

Welcome to The Shawano Woman's Club which has been in existence for well over a century and was established with a few primary objectives: social fellowship, literary improvement, and cultural development. We provide stimulating programs for our members, raise funds for scholarships and support many local non-profit organizations. We have donated over $132,650 in our past twelve fiscal years for scholarships and support of many local non-profit organizations.The Club meets for an unique program event at 10:00 am at various locations in the Shawano area followed by the Club business meeting and lunch at local restaurants. Lunch starts at approximately 12:00pm. September 8, 2026: Shawano Woman's Club Monthly Meeting, Installation of New SWC Officers and Luncheon at 10:00 am at Golden Sands Golf Course, 300 Nabor Road, Cecil. Lunch is at the Golf Course.

Mission Statement, To foster friendship and a community consciousness among our members. To provide stimulating programs for members and raise funds for student scholarships, The Shawano Historical Society, The Shawano County Library and other community related projects as chosen by the Club.

Our History: Shawano Woman's Club was formed in 1897 for the purpose of social fellowship, literary improvement and cultural development. The early members were founders of the Shawano Library and Shawano Historical Society.

Club Motto is: Education is a life work and not a matter to be crowded into a few early years. Today, we continue to maintain the same ideals serving the local community and surrounding areas.
