 Shawano Woman’s Club

History

Welcome to The Shawano Woman's Club which has been in existence for well over a century and was established with a few primary objectives: social fellowship, literary improvement, and cultural development. We provide stimulating programs for our members, raise funds for scholarships and support many local non-profit organizations. We have donated over $132,650 in our past twelve fiscal years for scholarships and support of many local non-profit organizations.The Club meets for an a program event at 10:00 am at various locations in the Shawano area followed by the Club business meeting and lunch at local restaurants. All meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month. The meeting starts at 10:00AM with an Educational Speaker, 10:30 AM Meeting and an optional 11:45 AM Lunch at a local restaurant. Guests are always welcome.

Our History:

 Shawano Woman's Club was formed in 1897 for the purpose of social fellowship, literary improvement and cultural development. The early members were founders of the Shawano Library and Shawano Historical Society.

Club Motto is: Education is a life work and not a matter to be crowded into a few early years. Today, we continue to maintain the same ideals serving the local community and surrounding areas.
